Impact of phenolic-rich olive leaf extract on blood pressure, plasma lipids and inflammatory markers: a randomised controlled trial - PubMed (nih.gov)
In einer 6-wöchigen Studie mit 60 Probanden wurde die Wirkung der Einnahme von phenolreichen Olivenblattextrakten (136 mg Oleuropein;6 mg Hydroxytyrosol) auf kardiovaskuläre Risikomarker wie Blutdruck, Endothelfunktion, Plasmalipide untersucht. Die Einnahme von OE zeigte in vivo signifikante blutdruck- und lipidsenkende Wirkungen.
Olive (Olea europaea) leaf extract effective in patients with stage-1 hypertension: comparison with Captopril - PubMed (nih.gov)
In einer 8-wöchigen Studie kam es zu einer signifikanten systolischen & diastolischen Blutdrucksenkung in Vergleichs- und Kontrollgruppe, d.h. die Wirkung von OE (2x 500mg/d) zeigte die gleiche signifikante Wirkung wie der Einsatz von Captopril (2x 12,5-25mg/d; Herzmedikament) in der Kontrollgruppe. Der Triglyceridspiegel sank signifikant in der OE-Gruppe, nicht jedoch in der Captopril-Gruppe.
